Personality: Quiet, somewhat reserved. Constantly curious about the world around him, and the people, as well, though he's often slow to speak, and often somewhat shy as well.
Appearance: Xyr'eil'noch stands some 12 feet long from nose to tail-tip, and 8 feet tall when standing, from the bottoms of his feet to the top of his shoulders. Covered in dark gray scales, his body contains several patches of moss-green scales, from dappled areas on the backs of his wings, to a wide furry-looking splotch that wraps around the right side of his neck. The only exception is his left wing, which is marred by a dense, semi-circular black scar near the center-most portion of the bottom edge. His eyes are a vivid shade of green with small flecks of blue in them, as if the color had been sprinkled on.
Likes: Fishing, hunting for grubs in fallen logs, picking fruit and painting. He also loves a good story.
Dislikes: Fire, avalanches, wind storms, arrows and spears.

Backstory: Having been raised among the rocky cliffs of Snowtop Canyon, Xyr'eil'noch lived for several years with his mother and father, where he had little contact with virtually all other species for the length and breadth of his childhood. After leaving the nest some twenty years later, Xyr had a difficult time finding a new den when an avalanche nearly trapped him inside of an old tunnel. An encounter with a young dragon left him unable to fly for several months, leaving behind a thick scar as a reminder of the fiery temper the reptile possessed. Numerous encounters with hunters in later travels educated Xyr in the function of weapons such as arrows, crossbows, spears, and daggers, though most were but glancing blows. An ambush in his early thirties led him to discover his freezing breath, allowing him to stock up food nearer to winter, rather than risk the blustery weather and strong winds that prevailed in the region around the canyon. Curiosity, however, pushed him to leave the canyon, the desire to explore driving him to wander and meet other creatures.
Weaknesses/Flaws/fears: Xyr fears dragons, being burnt, and small spaces.
Powers/Strengths/Skills: Besides being able to freeze various items or individuals with his breath, he has keen eye sight, a strong sense of smell and taste, and can employ his tail much like an extra hand, coiling it fairly tightly about a reasonably lighter object to lift it or utilize for specific purposes. While not poisonous, his tail has a single sharp ridge, much like a slim talon, extending from the end of it, and rather sharp claws.
Weapons/Clothes/Armor/Jewelry: Other than his teeth, claws, tail, and icy breath, Xyr'eil'noch wears a fine gold chain around his neck, from which a round fire opal pendant can be seen hanging.
