All right, folks, so far I've got a tentative list of potential species. No Latin names for them yet, though, and at the moment, their intelligence and capabilities would make them excellent as guards, babysitters, or even assistance in farming, building, and handicrafts.
1. Tcha'muks
2.Wyverns
3.Tcha'mungas
4. Cymirrian Forest Lizards
5. Kalamatiis
(More may or may not be coming soon.)
I've been doing some thinking...While my drawing skills might be rusty still, and not as advanced as some of my other skills, I'm considering making a few species. Particularly pet species.
No, they're not from Earth. I'll release more details about this later.

Been a fair while since the last check-in here
My job has been more time-consuming than usual the past several months, and I'm just now getting back to DA in general. I have not given up on creating art in general; on the contrary, I've merely put several projects on the backburner. I am, however, curious as to what my followers are interested in, of my gallery contents. If anyone is still attending this site, and faving my work, please, drop a comment and let me know what's caught your eye among my many works. I've been working on my woodworking/woodcarving game, too. The next wood-related projects that are up front and ready for action are a wooden mallet, a small tanto-inspired letter opener, and another that will resemble a sword whose particular design name escapes me at the moment. As I have mentioned before, all of my wooden crafts are locally sourced, from sustainably harvested wood that is claimed from storm-ravaged trees, or young trees that have been thinned out of my hiking paths on family woodland. There is a fair
Up to something once again
I know I'm nowhere near as active on here as I used to be, with more than a few projects either getting laid by the wayside, or just finding that my time is in much shorter supply than I once thought. Oddly enough, there are a couple of things on the back burner that I plan on reheating, so to speak, and attempting to complete in due time. Chief among these is my Mythological Creatures Encyclopedia; recent inspiration has led to an urge to breathe new life into a few entries, and if it's anything like eating popcorn, or potato chips, my thoughts are that it will lead to leapfrogging from one entry to the next. That aside, I haven't given up on 'Magik at Midnight', my short story/novella that I began a few years ago and wound up shelving for a time. I've also been struck with the notion to write a bit of a fanfic of sorts, but that one is going to remain a mystery, subject-wise, until I feel that it is ready to spread its wings and leave the proverbial mental nest.
Because I felt a need for it, here's an update.
Alright, folks! Due to time constraints, mostly work and chore-related, I have not been able to continue my current project just yet. It is NOT shelved; merely set aside for a little while. I might do some slight touching up, until my carving knife arrives in the mail, but seeing as how I've just placed the order, and haven't the foggiest yet where it is shipping from in the first place, it could be a few days, to a few weeks, before the letter opener is well and truly ready to grace the eyes of my loyal watchers. Don't worry, though! Even when it is complete, it will not be the last of its kind! (Yes, I'll be making other wooden curiosities, and will soon return to my crocheting as well.)
Newest series of creative work now underway!
As my faithful followers and watchers can see, I've taken up whittling again. I say whittling because so far, I've just been using a knife, and nothing else, tool-wise. The current K.I.P (knife-in-progress) is made of seasoned maple, found from a fallen tree limb, and split by hand. In case it's difficult to visualize, the general shape I'm going for with this piece is that of a traditional Medieval knife, or a diminutive throwing knife, with an edge on both sides, and a stout handle. Thanks to both being seasoned, and being something of a less dense hardwood, maple is not the most difficult wood to work with, but it does help to have a very sharp knife, patience, and a steady hand. Since knives don't require much in the way of curves, it's easier to find wood scraps and fallen branches that can be split and sized up for possible designs as butter spreaders, letter openers, or even wooden replicas of knives that would otherwise be considered weapons/sold by companies who either make,

What are Tcha'muks?
By the way I'm making my own Manga (which may or may not be successful), and I'm adding a brand new humanoid species of my own for it. They're like a mix between humans, bats, and cheetahs.
